Teach at the Club on Friday September 3rd

Hurry - this is their last Friday lesson for the season!

Roxana & Fabian Belmonte were born in Buenos Aires, the home of tango. Since their childhood, their hearts have beat to the rhythm of the tango. They were raised from a very young age to live and breathe tango culture.

More than a couple, when they dance they transform themselves into a single spirit to express desire, passion, love and sadness. Their performances have been enthusiastically embraced by audiences and critics the world over. They have performed and taught internationally for 20 years throughout the United States, Canada, Uruguay, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Japan, China and Europe. In Argentina, they have appeared in many of the legendary dance halls of their native Buenos Aires: Palais De Glace, Astral Theatre, La Confiteria Del Molino, Club Almagro, Glorias Argentinas, Negracha, Esquina Anibal Troilo, El Tacuari, the prestigious Tango Bar " Esquina Homero Manzi" .

Intermediate Lesson

(New Hours) 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

9:00 pm - 9:30 pm Practica

9:30 pm - 10:30 pm Milonga (depending on number of attendees)

Fee: $10.00 for members (class and milonga)

$15.00 for drop-ins (class and milonga)

Milonga only : $5.00 for members

: $10.00 for drop-ins

There will be a special draw on Friday Sept. 3rd

(or you can buy it for only $100 without going through the draw)

We will use the proceeds to buy a bottle of

Argentinean wine for Fabian (he loves wine)

and a bouquet for Roxana to show our appreciation for sharing their incredible knowledge and experience with us.

We look forward seeing them again at our club.

Special Visitors Friday September 3

We are expecting some dancers from Compañía De Danza Vivencias

Maestros from Urugay in traditional folklore dances, malambo and tango.

They are performing currently at the CNE.

for her endless work - this week she purchased three new fans to keep us all cooler on the dance floor.

Outdoor Tango

Coming Soon

The board is discussing locations for tango al fresco. Once we find the best place,

we will apply for a city permit and organize a free outdoor milonga open to everyone.

What a great way to promote tango and gather all Toronto tango dancers under the same sky!

We plan to have our first outdoor milonga in the fall.

The New Friday Class FYI

The Friday class (for experienced dancers) is small so it will work best

if we have an equal number of leaders and followers.

If possible, please arrange to go to the class with a partner.

If however we don't have equal numbers, we will change partners

to ensure everyone has an opportunity to practice.

Where were you ladies?

Last week we were short two followers.

Tammy, Joseph and Medi will be there to welcome everyone.
